SCO- stand for Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
India is a member of SCO since 2005. India Became a permanent member in June 2017. India is committed to ensuring a favorable environment for the economic cooperation between the SCO member countries. China President Xi Jinping, said India and China should uphold free trade, and multilateralism.
2. India to impose regulatory tariff on 29 American Goods
This will create trade tension between India and US. In 2018, US imposed 25% tariff on steel and 10% import duty on Aluminium. India was major exporter of these items.
In June 5, 2019, the US withdrew export incentives to India under its Generalised System of Preferences (GSP) programme. India was the largest beneficiary of GSP.
India now implementing, regulatory tariff on 29 U.S. items ( Walnuts, Bengal gram, Chickpeas, Masur Dal, Boric Acid, Apples, Domestic regents etc.), from June 16, 2019.
